About Nexco
Nexco Inc. is a new company formed to develop and bring to market its proprietary and revolutionary type of Ammonium Nitrate-based
explosive - Nexil - using technology that avoids prilling tower technology. Nexil is the main ingredient of a new bulk explosive called NexilFO. NexilFO is a new type of Ammonium Nitrate/Fuel Oil (ANFO) bulk explosive that can
displace the need for ANFO that is manufactured by using AN prills. From a new chemical formula and specially-designed production process, NexilFO provides a higher density ANFO that significantly reduces drilling and blast pattern expenses. In addition, it has loading characteristics that allow it to reduce the end user's need for using other bulk explosives when conditions are less than ideal. Nexil has good storage characteristics, is largely unaffected by container temperatures and humidity, and, when mixed with Fuel Oil, provides high performance in drill holes under dry or wet conditions.
Nexco Inc. is designing plants to meet the production capacity of the
end-use customer, who will purchase NexilFO from an explosives
manufacturer under license from Nexco. Plant automation will minimize the labour required and ensure quality control.
